European Commission’s International Drawing Competition on the theme of gender equality – 2008
Upon request of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, FGL Energy conducted a drawing competition for 8-10 years old children from Ukraine and Belarus on the theme of gender equality.
Children's participation in the competition was a proof of their creative talent which demonstrated their own understanding of life. 25 thousand children from 51 countries around the world, including 1149 pupils from Ukraine, expressed their vision of a better future where equality and mutual respect thrive.
In the framework of the project, FGL Energy was responsible for preparing and distributing invitations to schools and children; establishing relationships with Ukrainian and Belarusian authorities; disseminating information through leading Ukrainian and European media outlets; organising jury’s meeting to select the best drawings; organising exhibitions and press conferences with the participation of high-ranking officials from the EU Delegation to Ukraine; organising award ceremonies.
