Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada has ratified an agreement between the EBRD, the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers and the Ukrainian State Nuclear Regulation Committee, allocating a 3.5 million euro grant to a project for funding nuclear and radiation safety of the construction of a dry storage facility for spent nuclear fuel at the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant.

The 3.5-million-euro grant agreement was signed by the EBRD, the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers and the State Nuclear Regulation Committee in Kyiv on July 8, 2009.
