Norway is interested in enhancing cooperation with Ukraine in the gas sector
Norway is interested in enhancing cooperation with Ukraine in the gas sector. This was started by Prime Minister of Norway Jens Stoltenberg at a joint press conference with Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.
"We have the potential of cooperation in three branches: Ukraine can buy gas directly or through a European spot market, also Norwegian companies can participate in the development of Ukrainian gas fields (such large deposits in Ukraine is), the third choice - it is part of Norwegian companies in the development of transport infrastructure in Ukraine ", - said Jens Stoltenberg.
He emphasized that the Norwegian oil and gas companies make their own decisions on the conclusion of contracts for the supply of energy. The Government to these solutions is not affected; it only creates the conditions and issues licenses for exploration and production of gas.
In turn, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said that Ukraine is building LNG-terminal in Odessa region and therefore is interested in entering into agreements for the purchase of liquefied natural gas.
