The deficit of the Naftogaz Ukrainy national oil and gas company in 2010 is roughly estimated at UAH 16 bn, Vice Prime Minister Tihipko said Friday on TV.

"With UAH 106 bn of the revenue part of the budget of Naftogaz Ukrainy we can have some UAH 16 bn of the deficit. We will have to respond to this figure probably through the capitalization, through the [national] budget," he said. The deficit of Naftogaz Ukrainy and the deficit of the Pension Fund of UAH 32-34 bn were two major problems of the this year’s national budget. He said the government pursues boosting the revenue part of the national budget.
