For the purpose of the diversification of oil and gas, Ukraine is interested in enhancing cooperation with Azerbaijan in the energy sector. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said that during a meeting with Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade in Baku.

"We are interested in enhancing cooperation with Azerbaijan in the energy sector. This cooperation for us is extremely important, given that, unfortunately, now we buy oil and gas at very high prices from the Russian Federation. We certainly would like to have alternative sources of supply of oil and gas, and thereby change the price situation", - Mykola Azarov said.
