On February 1, 2017, the leaders of 16 cross-border partnerships gathered together in Chisinau, Moldova, for a signing ceremony of the grant contracts under the Moldova – Ukraine Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation Programme, which is a part of the broader EU-funded Eastern Partnership Territorial Cooperation Programme (EaPTC).

16 awarded projects are almost proportionally distributed among three priorities defined by the Moldova – Ukraine TC Programme, namely: improving the living conditions of local communities; addressing common cross-border challenges; education, culture and sport. The overall amount made available by the EU under the Moldova – Ukraine Programme is 3.3 million EUR.

Also, as part of the event, during January 30 – February 3, an introductory training for grantees was held in Chisinau. Participants of the training received a general overview and practical tips related to grant contracts implementation, financial and procurement rules, visibility and communication issues, reporting and monitoring requirements, as well as specific national requirements of each country. The training also provided for individual consultations on grant management issues for grantees.

In the framework of the media event, FGL Energy was responsible for:

• Providing venue, accommodation and catering service for participants and media representatives
• Developing a media scenario of the event
• Ensuring the EU and EaPTC visibility and promotion of the event (design and production of roll-ups, press-walls, folders, notebooks, pens, etc.)
• Providing simultaneous interpretation;
• Ensuring the presence of national and regional mass media of Moldova and Ukraine
• Developing the press announcement, press release and post release
• Developing and producing materials for the press
• Arranging photo and video shooting
• Organizing a press-conference for media
