European Commission’s International Drawing Competition on the theme of gender equality – 2007
Upon request of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, FGL Energy organised a drawing competition among 8-10 years old children from Ukraine and Belarus on the theme of gender equality, emphasising the inadmissibility of violence against women.
International Competition promoted one of the main human values – respect – and favoured keeping and further developing democratic principles and values. The competition attracted 10 thousand children from 61 countries around the world, including 2500 pupils from Ukraine.
In a framework of the project, FGL Energy was responsible for preparing and distributing invitations to schools and children; establishing relationships with Ukrainian and Belarusian authorities; disseminating information through leading Ukrainian and European media outlets; organising jury’s meeting to select the best drawings; organising exhibitions and press conferences with the participation of high-ranking officials from the EU Delegation to Ukraine; organising award ceremonies.
