Yuriy Boyko: Measures to raise level of payments for gas have to be taken within 2 weeks
On February 4, 2013 a conference call on the status of settlements for heat supply by enterprises for the consumed natural gas on the results of 2012 and January 2013 led by the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko was held.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Eduard Stavytskyi, First Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services Oleksandr Alipov, Deputy Chairman of the State Treasury Service Gennady Lega, Chairman of the National Joint Stock Company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" Evgen Bakulin, representatives of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Finance, the National Commission for carrying out state regulation in the energy sector, and senior representatives of all regions of Ukraine, Kyiv and Sevastopol - via video link.
Deputy Prime Minister warned the leadership of regions that they will bear responsibility for the situation of the unsatisfactory level of payments for energy in regions and for a significant growth in debt since the beginning of the heating season.
Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine instructed the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services, National Joint Stock Company "Naftogaz of Ukraine" within two week to set a working group to analyze the reasons for the poor state settlement by companies for the consumed natural gas, and take urgent measures to address them, including by taking appropriate personnel action.
