Yuriy Boyko: Competition between renewable and traditional energy sources results decline of prices in energy sector
The next ten years will be characterized by increasing competition between traditional energy resources and energy resources from renewable sources. This opinion was expressed by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Boyko during the discussion of "Energy: Risks, Decisions, Revolution" at the 10th Annual Meeting in Yalta.
"Revolution taking place in the energy sector is being discussed in the last ten years, in shale gas production and the production of energy from renewable sources. This changes the state of the energy market in the world. The development of alternative energy brings the competition, and I think that the next ten years will be years of business competition between alternative and traditional energy sources. More and more funds will move from traditional energy resources to innovation and new technology, and competition will result decline of prices in the energy sector," Yuriy Boyko said.
