Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, stresses that Ukraine has all the Possibilities to organize the Closed Cycle of Nuclear Fuel Production to meet the Demands of the Energy Industry
Having visited the museum of strategic missile troops (Kirovohrad region), V.Lytvyn stated that Ukraine shall reasonably use its possibilities in the development of uranium deposits, securing proper funding. He believes that "one shall understand importance of nuclear power engineering and power engineering in general for the security of Ukraine".
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deems necessary to settle the environmental problems connected with the intensive use of the said resources. "The present-day principle is to settle the problem, polluting the environment", - he stated.
V.Lytvyn supposes that 90% of environmental charges shall remain in the local budgets to reclaim and enhance the environment, and improve the health of people living in the high-danger area.
V.Lytvyn also called for establishing "regular cooperation with the Russian Federation, using intellectual, engineering and scientific possibilities of both countries" as to the use of energy resources.
