Ukrtransgaz finalizes a complex of works on providing technical aspect of receiving gas from Slovakia
On August 7, 2014, "Ukrtransgaz" private joint stock company at the compressor station Uzhgorodcompleted the full complex of works to provide the technical opportunity to receive natural gas from Slovakia. The work was held according to the schedule and at the company's funding.
According to the results of recent negotiations the operators of gas transportation system of Ukraine (PJSC "Ukrtransgaz") and Slovakia (Eustream a.s.) finally agreed the technical aspects of transborder cooperation, collaboration in the process of use of the facilities and monitoring of gas.
As was reported on April 28, 2014 PJSC "Ukrtransgaz" and Eustream A.S. signed a Memorandum of understanding on the reverse gas deliveries to Ukraine. In early July, the Slovak operator Eustream informed about the successful completion of the Open Season procedure to accept applications for the transporting of gas to Ukraine through Slovakia.
