Following Ukrainian-Azerbaijani talks, President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held joint press availability.

In his speech President Yushchenko informed that during the talks sides discussed transit of Caspian oil through Odesa-Brody pipeline. According to him, preliminary conclusions of a working group on technical parameters, such as calculations of possible oil volumes, would be presented in the first part of July.

President Aliyev from his part stressed that his country has always supported the idea of exports diversification and expressed appreciation of the fact that the discussion of the question has entered a new, more specific stage. “We have political support from all countries, taking part in the project. It remained for us to coordinate economic and technical details, to test it on practice and to examine the results”.
