Ukraine and European Investment Bank agree to cooperate in financing hydropower projects
On October 25, a Ukrainian delegation led by Minister of 
Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine Eduard Stavytskyi had an official meeting with representatives of the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg.
During the meeting the Parties discussed partnership between Ukraine and the EIB in energy domain, notably in the direction of electric power, hydropower and gas transport system. In the frames of the event the Parties signed a Declaration on intentions to cooperate in financing projects of hydropower branch in Ukraine. Targeting realization of investment project the Parties announced their intention to deepen cooperation along the project “Construction of Kaniv Hydropower Plant” and continue evaluation of the project “The increase in capacity of Kakhovska Hydropower Plant”.
