The amount of active gas is 14.8 billion cubic meters in underground storage facilities

According to the gas balance, the indicator of natural gas withdrawal from underground gas storages (UGS) is 7.9 billion cubic meters in first quarter of 2012.

According to operational data of the Joint dispatch control, the actual consumption of natural gas in Ukraine is 255 million cubic meters per day.

As of 5 January 2012, it was increased the withdrawal of gas from underground storage facilities, which as of 22 January this year is 86.7 million cubic meters per day herewith receipts of imported gas for Ukraine is 113 million cubic meters per day and 55.3 million cubic meters - natural gas of the local production.

Thus, the amount of active gas in underground gas storages (UGS) is 14.8 billion cubic meters, which allows in full scope to carry out the applications of the Ukrainian consumers. Such volume of natural gas it is enough that would go through the heating season 2011/2012.

Total from the beginning heating season, 6.3 billion cubic meters have been withdrawal from the UGS.

The subsidiary company "Ukrtransgaz" performs applications of Ukrainian and European consumers of natural gas in full.
