Russia Eyes Crediting Construction of Reactors In Ukraine
Russia considers a possibility of crediting construction of the third and fourth reactors at the Khmelnytskyi nuclear power plant, Ukrainian government says.
"We have discussed atomic energy issues, a possibility of crediting construction of these reactors at the Khmelnytskyi NPP," said Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on April 10 in the followup of a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.
In his words, they may lend US $ 5 bn or US $ 6 bn. The Khmelnytskyi NPP runs two power units of VVER-1000 type with installed electric power of 1 gigawatt each.
