Mykola Azarov stressed that despite promised by Ukrgidrometcentr warm weather from the followingSaturday today’s weather did not afford to keep people cold. So, from yesterday according to the decisionof the Government Naftogaz started turning the pressure in gas supply systems to a working norm. Over ahalf of the regions have already decided to commence
the heating season: heating supplies began inVinnytsya, Volyn, Dniporpetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Luhansk, Lviv, Odesa, Poltava,Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Chernihiv regions and the cities of Kyiv and Sevastopol. Allthe other regions will adopt a decision on the start of heating season guided by concrete weather
conditions, in the interests of residents of certain territories.

“With regards to the centralized preparation to the heating season there have been readied enoughenergy resources, so the heating can be turned on in any necessary moment,” the Prime Ministers stressed. “I emphasize that and call on local authorities, certainly to economize energy resources, but not toprocrastinate with a decision on heating supplies when it is really appropriate”.
