New wind power station was launched in Ukraine
In Kherson
It is noted that the total station power is supposed to be almost 70 MWt and it will be among three most powerful and largest stations in Ukraine.
The station consists of wind power installations of one of the world’s largest wind turbines’ producers - the Danish company Vestas. The project was implemented by Windcraft Tavria in cooperation with Ukrgasbank.
Sergey Savchuk, the head of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, pointed that 121 MWt of power from the renewable sources were generated in 2016. This figure is 4 times higher than in 2015. And for 7 months of 2017 already 166.1 MWt have been generated, which is more than for the whole 2016.
According to the agency, there are 23 stations that generate "clean" electricity in Kherson region, as of August 1, 2017. In particular, 18 solar power stations with a capacity of 68.4 MWt and 4 wind power stations with a total capacity of almost 34 MWt.
To recall, the most powerful wind power station in Western Ukraine was launched in Lviv region at the end of last year.
