Naftogaz sends Gazprom a draft supplementary agreement allowing to settle disputes
On June 1, 2014 NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has sent OJSC Gazprom a draft supplementary agreement to the January 19, 2009 buy-sell agreement for natural gas for the period from 2009 to 2019 between NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine and OJSC Gazprom. A supplementary agreement envisions changes in the conditions of the contract, including prices, volumes and natural gas supply terms. The fourth round of tripartite negotiations between Ukraine Russia and the EU will be held on June 2 concerning supplies of Russian gas to Ukraine. Naftogaz is set to continue negotiations with Gazprom in a constructive manner.
On May 30, Naftogaz has wired $786.3 million to Gazprom in payment of natural gas imported in February-March 2014 at a price of $268.5 per thousand cubic meters, which the company is not disputing. |
