Prime Minister Mykola Azarov is convinced that the current agreement between Ukraine and Russia about import of natural gas from Russia will sooner or later be revised. This was stressed by the PM, answering user’s questions of the social network Facebook.
"There were in the history when shackling and humiliating treaties which one or another state had for various reasons, then it was very difficult to review. But sooner or later, these contracts were still reviewed as they presented obstacle to normal development of mutually beneficial relations. This is our principal thesis of the negotiations with Russia", - the Prime Minister said, commenting on the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia to revise the existing gas contract.
At the same time Mykola Azarov said: "The peculiarity of our negotiations with Russia is that we want to revise the current contract, which will act here another 8 years if we do not review it. He was discharged so that Ukraine practically has no rights. And, of course, the Russian leadership has temptation to save a certain extent their advantage. This desire to preserve the advantage is the main obstacle to the negotiations".
