Canadians will build five new solar power stations in Ukraine for 94 million euros

Сanadian company TIU Canada Co. has announced its intention to build five solar power stations in Ukraine. The construction of the first one in Nikopol (Dnipropetrovsk region.) has already started, and it is planned to launch it this fall.

The station will be located on the territory of the Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant, where there is an access to all necessary communications. The capacity of the station will reach 10.5 MWt with Helios Strategia as a contractor. The cost of the project is 14 million euros. It is specified that 30% of equity and 70% of loan capital is invested to the project.

It is planned to build the other four solar power stations - one in the Kherson region and three in the Mykolayiv region - by the summer next year. The total power of the four stations should reach 80 MWt with 80 million euros invested.

Among the reasons to invest in “green” energy in Ukraine are the highest “green” tariff in Europe, a stable cash flow by 2030, fast construction and a large number of contractors, as well as construction costs reduction, explains TIU Canada Co.

TIU Canada is owned by the investment company Refraction Asset Management (RAM), Calgary, Canada.
