A loan agreement to be signed with Russia for developing Khmelnytsky nuclear power plant
Ukraine's Fuel and Energy Ministry hopes to sign a loan agreement with Russia on financing the construction of Khmelnytsky NPP by the end of 2010.
Ukraine and Russia on June 9, 2010, signed an intergovernmental agreement to cooperation in the completion of the third and fourth reactors of Khmelnytsky NPP.
Energoatom plans to complete and commission the third and fourth reactors of Khmelnytsky NPP before 2018. In particular, the third unit is to be put into operation in 2016, and the fourth in 2017. The costs of the units' completion are estimated at UAH 30.1 billion.
