Government will decrease gas price for enterprises of sugar industry

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko announces that the Gov’t would approve a decision to reduce price for gas for enterprises of sugar industry. She informed during the all-Ukrainian meeting dedicated to the issues of development of sugar-beet industry in Gaysyn, underway in the framework of the working visit of Vinnytsya region by the Head of Government.

“At the next session of the Government we will adopt the decision to reduce natural gas price for sugar plants already the current season,” the Prime Minister imparted.

At this, Yulia Tymoshenko drew attention to the fact that 30% of prime cost of sugar is the cost of gas being consumed by sugar enterprises. The Head of Government also views as necessary to hold modernization and reconstruction of sugar plants in order to make them produce and use biofuel: “You have everything at the sugar plants necessary to produce biofuel”. According to Yulia Tymoshenko, to carry the needed re-equipping one year is enough.
